Stampin' Up! Wedding Card

I think it's about time I updated my blog, don't you think?

So, this weeks classes were on the theme of weddings. We're well into wedding season right now and one of my customers had requested making a wedding card but one that was bigger than the standard C6. It actually didn't take me long to design this particular one, you know how you sometimes get flashes of inspiration and you're off? That was me this week. We also made 2 smaller cards during the classes but I'll show you those over the next couple of days.

This particular card is A5 in size. Twice the size of normal cards and as we don't have large envelopes we also made our own using the Diagonal Plate.

I've been really into heat embossing over the last couple of classes - it never stops giving me that 'wow' factor as it melts. This time we used the Iridescent Embossing Powder which is a clear EP with glitter, and boy does it sparkle!

Although we were only using Whisper White and Basic Black, to make it sparkle and give it more of a luxury look I spritzed the whole card with Shimmer Mist made from mixing the Champagne Shimmer Paint with rubbing alcohol. The card now looks like it's been made with Shimmer Paper....gorgeous!

Even the inside of the card was finished off to make it an extra special card.
